Long Description

We are a community focused on making the world a better place through the use of blockchain technology. Our flagship product, the Giveth Donation Application (DApp) will be an integral part of the Commons Stack project, and is striving to bring new governance models into the nonprofit space. We created the Giveth Galaxy to foster a larger network of organizations that will help us Build the Future of Giving we envision.

The Donation Application (DApp)
Giveth is re-engineering charitable giving, by creating an entirely free, open-source platform, built on the Ethereum Blockchain. Our system cuts out bureaucracy and enables contributors to create a high level of transparency and accountability towards donors, who we call ‘Givers’. At this moment we are not accepting any new projects as we are actively building out the Commons Stack project.

The Giveth Donation Platform is currently live in beta stage on the Ethereum mainnet, bridged to Rinkeby testnet. You can read our most recent public updates here and are welcome in our chat for any question! NOTE: We are currently in ‘maintenance’ mode, actively supporting existing projects on our platform but not accepting any new ones. In order to build a sustainable future for ourselves and any public good we are building the Commons Stack, a collaboration between Giveth and BlockScience. You can read more about this on our medium and of course on the Commons Stack website.

A Decentralized Altruistic Community (DAC)
Giving to a cause can be just the beginning of your involvement. At Giveth we strongly believe in the power of communities to change the world. We are building our software to encourage Givers and Makers to connect as well as discover a decentralized governance model that works for them. We are actively practicing what we preach as we model what it is to be the first DAC.

We hope to help projects use our modular system to test their innovative smart contracts and UIs with real money in a low-risk environment. Imagine starting a charity to help alleviate homelessness in your hometown while alpha testing an experimental decentralized governance system you plan to use in your project.

With Giveth, you can have live smart contract testing while making the world a better place! And because of Giveth’s open-source nature, if a decentralized governance protocol or any other smart contract is used on the platform successfully it can easily achieve network effect and be utilized by other DACs (Decentralized Altruistic Communities) to aid in their cause. The #FutureOfGiving maximizing #blockchain4good!
