IDO scam
This is a thread on @Climatefutures/1PLANET A man by the name of Jesse B Uzzell and his partners/Jake is running an investment scam on his website https://climatefutures.io/, with tokens called 1Planet, also a sponsor in ultra music festival. We met via the internet, through a friend who also had invested in Jesse’s project, who was also scammed. 1Planet was supposed to be an investment backed by carbon credits 1-to-1 Jesse Uzzel is the CEO and person behind the scam. We had meetings online in which I recorded our first initial meeting, and him explaining into me his apparent details on the project and claiming partnerships which I found out later to be not true https://youtu.be/N9Zk2_Q7IcQ, It was all very believable, and we had back and forth emails in which I still have. After a lot of conversations, and Jesse’s background in climate change, he appeared legitimate to my knowledge and had convinced me to invest. Consequently, on May 28, 2021 I invested 75,000 US dollars which equated to 97,000 Australian dollars in my currency. According to Jesse, this meant that I would exchange my money for a token that is linked to real carbon credits, which at the time was valued at around 20 dollars, which acts as a carbon offset that can be used to offset one’s carbon footprint. The token also was supposed to carry a resale value which I soon found out he had no intentions of making it so. Jesse lied, claimed he a had a big team behind the project and had faces on his website at which at a later date I found out were not affiliated, and were not aware their images were used without their permission, he has since deleted these at the start of the year but if you use the wayback machine/internet archive on their website you can see they have been edited and information has been purged. Jesse also had told me he planned to launch the token on a decentralized exchange (an exchange that has provided liquidity; it’s a pool of funds or “liquidity pool”; the pool’s size changes as buying and selling occurs.) The exchange is the way you can trade the token, and is for the investors. Jesse didn’t add liquidity/money to the exchange. Rather he just took the investors’ money. After he got my money, Jesse strung me for months, and had asked me with my current knowledge if I could help him market this product (push this scam) I was reluctant to do this and I just spoke to him on things relating to where his apparent technology he claimed to have created could be implemented. Jesse went on and made me guarantees on the telephone call, and assured me in my first initial recording/meeting before investing that I could get my money back before December of 2021 if I chose to pull out of the investment. Later, Jesse stopped communicating because I had wished to pull out my investment, because he was lying. with no communication from Jesse for sometimes weeks at a time I asked for my money back, this is subsequently when he just immediately blocked me. I started contacting some of the people he had on the website whom he claimed were involved and had found out it was a scam and these people hadn’t had permission to have their information posted publicly or some were contacted but not paid. Jesse would not honor any agreements, thus evidence of fraud, and I told him/attempted to reach out to him dozens of times to give my money back as promised. After Jesse subsequently blocked me on Facebook and Twitter, I was trying to reach out to as many people as possible trying to gather information and as well trying to find out who to contact. People should not be fooled by this, and DO NOT give them money. Jesse reached out to me via email claiming he wanted to phone call with me after drawing a lot of attention around his scam. But he never called me and went silent again, other victims I have reached out to as well, and some people who have met with him in person a man by the name of Ashley Cooper. an environment activist who was promised 50,000 in funding for his images. The website had been heavily edited removing people’s faces whom weren’t affiliated starting in 2022 so you can use the wayback machine to see the edit history from 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210310065020/https://climatefutures.io/ So in all, refuses to return my money, blocked me after giving his investors, myself false guarantees in writing and verbally, these are convictions of fraud. This guy also connects with environmental activists to try and strengthen his image to push the scam, some of which have been scammed or mislead as I have mentioned above. These are attempts to build a PR image, to keep it going as long as possible, I noticed after he had brand logos such as the World Bank and Morgan Stanley WDC and others on his website as affiliates, reaching out to them, I have confirmation this is not true. I spoke with Deputy Director of Whale & Dolphin Conservation, Melissa Walker, who Jesse had claimed was a partner in Climate Futures. Melissa says that WDC is not a partner with Climate Futures and that Jesse did actually reach out to him though Jesse clearly stated to me in our calls that these were also partners.
