Open protocol for responsible mineral sourcing
Do any of us really know where our products come from and under what conditions they have been produced?
Minespider is an open blockchain protocol for creating digital certificates for raw materials in the supply chain. These certificates contain a company’s certifications, licenses, and other responsibility information and assigned to a mass and shipment of material, and passed along the supply chain along with the material shipment.
Minespider works with global brands, governments, industry groups and civil society to create an open and collaborative infrastructure that will underpin the raw materials trade.
The aim is to make responsible, tracked minerals the industry norm rather than the exception. Minerals should be sold along with the story of their origin and under what conditions they were produced.
